Franklin Police Wrap Up Three Month Narcotics Investigation – Make Multiple Arrests

FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ – Following a three month investigation the Franklin Police Department Detective Bureau conducted an investigation of narcotics distribution from within the Borough of Franklin.

Franklin Detectives investigated and alleged that multiple individuals have allegedly been selling heroin and other controlled dangerous substances in and around Franklin Borough.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of the following:

1. Crystal Galione, 26, of Franklin for multiple counts of possession of heroin and distribution of heroin. Bail was set at $35,000 with no ten percent option. (Arrested 6/16/2015 in Newton New Jersey.) Lodged in the Sussex County Jail.

2. Christian Kosmisnsky, 23, formerly of Franklin, now of Sussex, for multiple counts of possession of heroin, and distribution of heroin, as well as distribution of heroin in a school zone, specifically the Franklin Elementary School. Bail was set at $50,000 with no ten percent option. (Arrested in Franklin Borough on 6/15/2015) Lodged in the Sussex County Jail

3. Gilberto Lara, 27, of Paterson, New Jersey, for multiple counts of possession of heroin in a school zone, specifically the Franklin Elementary School, and distribution near a public park, specifically Fireman’s Memorial Park in Franklin NJ Bail was set at $100,000 with no ten percent option. (Arrested in Franklin Borough on 6/10/2015) Lodged in the Sussex County Jail.

4. Mandee Monico, 24, of Franklin for possession of heroin and distribution of heroin. Bail was set at $20,000 with no ten percent option. (Arrested 5/27/2015 in Franklin, New Jersey.) Lodged in the Sussex County Jail.

5. Bryan P. Walsh, 28, formerly of Franklin now of Vernon New Jersey for multiple counts of possession of heroin, and distribution of heroin, as well as possession and distribution of other controlled dangerous substances. Bail was set at $50,000 with no ten percent option. (Arrested in Franklin Borough on 6/18/2015) Lodged in the Sussex County Jail.

6. Destini Wieczekowski, 21, of Franklin Borough for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. (Arrested in Franklin on 6/15/2015) Released on her own recognizance pending a Court appearance. Lodged in the Sussex County Jail.

7. Patricia Dolan, 65, of Vernon New Jersey for possession of marijuana, use of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on 6/1/2015 in Franklin. She too was released pending a Court appearance. Lodged in the Sussex County Jail. Lodged in the Sussex County Jail.

Those charged with distribution were alleged to have an undisclosed amount of heroin and other forms of a controlled dangerous substance ready and packaged for sale. In some cases thousands of dollars of heroin was seized. Undisclosed amounts of money were also seized.

Other local agencies assisted during various parts of the investigation including the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department Canine Unit and the Sussex County, Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force.

Investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow.

The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
