Underage Drinking/Open Container/Driving While Suspended/Provisional Driver’s License Violation – Byram

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – On 9-18-15, a Byram Twp. Police Officer observed a vehicle speeding on Rt. 206. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and while speaking to the driver, Michael G. Puco of Byram, the officer observed a 30-pack of beer in the vehicle as well as an empty open alcoholic beverage container. It was determined that the beer belonged to both Puco and the passenger, Justin B. Fitzpatrick of Byram and that Fitzpatrick had consumed the contents of the empty container. Both Puco and Fitzpatrick were arrested and transported to the station for processing. Puco was charged with Underage Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle, Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Suspended, Speeding, Provisional Driver’s License Violation and Possession of a Suspended Driver’s License. Fitzpatrick was charged with Underage Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle. Both were released pending a mandatory Andover-Joint Municipal Court date.
