Hazardous Weather Outlook and Winter Weather Advisory in Effect, Feb. 15 through 16
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – The National Weather Service has called for a Winter Weather Advisory for Sussex County, Northwest New Jersey as well as portions of Northeast Pennsylvania.
The National Weather Service has stated this Winter Weather Advisory is in effect beginning at 1 p.m. Feb. 15 through 4 a.m. Feb. 16. Snow, sleet and freezing rain, including an accumulation of two to four inches are expected. One tenth of an inch of ice is also a potential for the storm.
A Winter Weather Advisory advocates that travel difficulties and limited visibility could be potential, and precautions should be taken while driving.
The precipitation is expected to change to rain on Tuesday, with flooding predicted. There is a chance of snow showers on Tuesday night into Wednesday. Then conditions change to clear and sunny, with cooler temperatures, with Thursday night dropping to 17 degrees. Sunday, Feb. 21, temperatures are predicted to rise close to 48 degrees.
