Neighbor Complaints Lead to Arrests for Growing and Selling CDS

ANY OTHER INFORMATION: The Hopatcong Police Department received many complaints from neighbors living around 11 Charles Street about possible drug dealing. People were going into the house, staying for a short period of time then leaving. The Hopatcong Police Detective Bureau started an investigation. Through this extended investigation Detective Tracey was able to get probable cause for a search warrant for the home. Members of the Hopatcong Police Department with K-9 Eli and members of the Roxbury Police Department assisted in the May15 search. Police removed several marijuana plants, growing materials, smoking devices, and numerous counterfeit United States currencey bills in many denominations. 4 people were arrested at the home and charged as follows:
Kyle White, Age: 20 of 11 Charles Street Hopatcong charged with:
– 4th degree conspiracy to distribute CDS
– 2nd degree employing a juvenile to distribute CDS
– 4th degree possession of marijuana
– 4th degree distribution of CDS
Stephanie Talmadge, Age: 18 of Hopatcong Street Hopatcong charged with:
– DP Possession of marijuana
– DP Being under the influence of marijuana
Paul Hiltz, Age: 44 of 11 Charles Street Hopatcong charged with:
– DP Possession of marijuana
Juvenile, Age: 17 Charged with DP Possession of marijuana
Detective Tracey contacted The Division of The Unites States Secret Service in Morristown NJ to conduct their own investigation into the counterfeit monies found. The charges stemming for that will be by them.
White was transported to the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bail issued by Judge Bowkley of the Hopatcong Municipal Court. The juvenile was lodged in the Morris County Juvenile Detention Center. Hiltz and Talmadge were served summonses and later released.
