Ring and Cash Stolen in Hopatcong

Patrols and Detective Sutphen responded to 617 Brooklyn Mtn Road for a reported burglary.  the homeowner stated that when she arrived home she found glass from the back door all over the kitchen.  She immediately left the house and called the police.  The officers found jewelry boxes on the bed with jewelry scattered around them.  It appears that a ring and some cash was taken.  NJSP Trooper Roman responded with tracking K-9 Nidas.  The track led to Washington Trail but ended.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at (973) 398-5000
