Sparta Residents Enjoy Movie in the Park
SPARTA, NJ – Sparta Township residents enjoyed a movie under the stars on Saturday evening, July 19.
The film shown was Iron Man 3, which moviegoers of all ages sat on the grassy area of Dykstra Park to take in the flick. The Sparta Recreation Department sponsored the event, giving out free popcorn, glow bracelets, and prizes. The Sparta Kiwanis sold refreshments.
Before the screening, a DJ played some energetic music for the crowd, which totaled about 200. The audience toted chairs and blankets to watch the film under the stars.
The previous movie shown was Frozen, shown in June. The next film to be played is The Lego Movie, scheduled for August 16 (Rain date is August 23).
Movie start time is approximately 8 p.m. at dusk.
Entry is free for Sparta residents.
