Project Self-Sufficiency Welcomes New Board Member Sue Stark

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Project Self-Sufficiency proudly announces that local businesswoman Susan Stark has joined the agency’s Board of Directors. As a Technical Trainer with Quick Mount PV, Stark is responsible for training solar installers and working with them to properly install residential and commercial solar photovoltaic systems. She is looking forward to applying the knowledge and experience she has gained in business to her new Board position. Project Self-Sufficiency is a local non-profit organization which helps low-income families in northwestern New Jersey to attain economic self-sufficiency and family stability.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sue Stark to the Board of Directors at Project Self-Sufficiency,” commented Beverly Gordon, President of the Board of Directors. “Her creativity, business acumen and commitment to the families we serve will help to guide the agency through its 30th anniversary year and into the future.”

Stark anticipates that her experience with running a small businesses and working as an independent consultant will offer her the opportunity to assist with growing Project Self-Sufficiency. A native of Branchville, Stark has been familiar with the services provided by the agency for years. “I think that Project Self-Sufficiency does an amazing job creating programs that are much-needed in this area,” notes Stark. “Non-profit organizations are a bit different, but I feel that as a seasoned business person, I can provide good feedback. I am looking forward to helping further the organization’s goals using my experience, my knowledge, and my contacts to network and help them fundraise.” Stark enjoys participating in Project Self-Sufficiency’s annual Harvest Shoot & Taste of Autumn Gourmet Gathering, and has sponsored the agency’s Taste of Talent fundraising event for years.
