Burglary, Possession of Burglar Tools and Criminal Mischief
A tenant returned home with his wife and kids on 11/17/13 and found a black Mitsubishi SUV in their driveway. The male went into the house to get a flashlight to investigate the vehicle. When he went into his bedroom he found a female standing there holding a pry bar and a wood chisel. He recognized the woman as Becki Parris who is friends with the owner of the home. Parris told them that there may have been drugs left in the attic when her brother helped some friends move out 2 years ago. She was now in the home to retrieve the drugs. She also told him that he was not supposed to be home but be at military training. The exterior kitchen door had been forcibly entered. Pieces of the molding and door lock were on the floor.
As the tenant was calling the owner to ask about the drugs, Parris slipped out of the house. Roxbury Police were called and found Parris at her house. In her vehicle was the burglar tools. She was charged by Roxbury Police for that crime. She was brought to our department and questioned. She was cooperative in the investigation. She was charged on a Warrant complaint issued by Judge Cohen with ROR as bail. Nothing was taken from the residence.
