Little Sprouts Welcomes Celebrity Reader Tammie Horsfield
Tammie Horsfield, President of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, recently paid a visit to the preschool classroom at the Little Sprouts Early Learning Center to read several animal-themed books as part of Project Self-Sufficiency’s Celebrity Reader program. “I very much enjoyed spending time reading with the Little Sprouts children. I am always amazed to see how enthusiastic our young children are, not only for reading, but for life. I believe your program will help these children learn to grow to love books and reading as adults,” said Horsfield. “Thank you for offering such a wonderful program and for allowing me to participate in it.”
The Celebrity Reader program is a component of Project Self-Sufficiency’s Family Literacy Program, which exists primarily to assist parents with obtaining their GED or with passing the college placement exam. While in the program, parents also engage in a variety of activities designed to promote literacy within the entire family.
