Strengthening Families Program Summer Family Fun Camp

The Summer Family Fun Camp is a free program for the whole family that focuses on connecting family members through fun activities and games to bring families closer and build upon their unique set of skills.  The program provides support for parents and interactive groups for children ages 5-11 and for teens 12-17 that focus on enhancing communication skills between family members.  This helps the family increase their ability to express their feelings and concerns to one another.  Lunch and drinks are provided. Additionally, free childcare is offered for children under 5 years old.  While we encourage families to attend all 14 sessions, a family can attend 8 sessions and still graduate.  We will be starting a group on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12 noon to 1:30pm at the Halsted Middle School, beginning July 1, 2014.  Spaces are filling up quickly!  For more information or to register, please contact The Center for Prevention and Counseling and ask for Natalie at 973-383-4787.
