Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) in Byram

On 5-31-15, the Byram Twp. Police Department received a call about a possible intoxicated driver who had pulled into the Byram Diner parking lot. When the officer arrived, he made contact with the driver, Miguel J. Hidalgo, who appeared to be intoxicated. The officer had Hidalgo perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed. Hidalgo was arrested and transported to the station for processing. At the station, Hidalgo agreed to submit to breath tests but then did not perform the tests properly. Hidalgo was charged with the following and released to a friend pending a mandatory municipal court date: Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit to Breath Tests.
