Forgery, Theft, Theft for Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property and Harassment
On 5-24-15, the Byram Twp. Police Department took a report from an individual who stated that he bought a vehicle from Mark D. Friedman of Byram Twp. and arranged to pick up the vehicle from Friedman several days later. When the victim tried contacting Friedman in order to take possession of the vehicle, Friedman ignored his calls and would not turn the vehicle over to the victim. Friedman then began sending the victim harassing text messages. During the investigation, it was learned that when Friedman gave the victim the title to the vehicle, Friedman signed both his and his mother’s name on the title. Friedman was charged with the following and after being processed at the station, he was released pending a mandatory first appearance court date for indictable crimes at the Sussex County Superior Court: Forgery, Theft, Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property Received and Harassment.
