On My Mind: Hitting Rewind on Threats Recorded Against a Retired Police Officer – #BlueLivesMatter
Over the past several months the intensity of hate has increased against police officers.
And while the media is often chided for being slanted towards those who are doing the threatening, this member of the media does not advocate that behavior and will stand up against those who are advocating hate towards police officers.
I have taken heat since I published a video of a retired Staten Island Police Officer as he was verbally assaulted and threatened in September 2014. He innocently recorded a protest in Staten Island after the death of Eric Garner and the protestors turned on him.
I had a contact come forward shortly after I posted the video, alleging the protestors were not stating “Kill a cop,” which is how I presented the video, claiming they were there and sending me defamatory comments that I refused to publish. They also made false claims about the retired police officer stating that they were present when he shot the video, when it was obvious from their comments they were not.
Since then and sadly since the murder of NYPD Police Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos only a few days before Christmas as they sat in their patrol car and were both shot in the head, I’ve dealt with more defamatory comments towards me and towards the police officer in the video.
I will tell those people now who are sending me comments…I’m not publishing your smut on my videos that will attack me or others.
And to the person who said that they are glad my video has only a few views (not publishing your rude and defamatory comments either)…guess what? The views are climbing and the word is getting out. Consider it the Secretariat of the YouTube world (if you don’t know who Secretariat was…look him up…then eat my video’s dust as it blows by you).
On the other hand, I’ve also received defamatory comments about the protestors in the video, including racist comments and I refuse to publish those either.
For those questioning the video, if the retired officer was not innocent in this case, why would these protestors be jumping out of the sidewalk at him? It’s because it’s the protestors who are not innocent in this case. And it’s those in this case who are the types who have escalated to such acts of violence as murdering two police officers, wielding a hatchet into the head of another NYPD officer in October and now, as CNN reports (click here) seven threats were made to officers of the NYPD.
This video was prophetic in a way because it showed the hate escalating as “kill a cop” was chanted…and eventually attempted by one individual…then attempted and succeeded sadly on Officers Liu and Ramos by another person.
Yes, different people…but all with the same mission…to hate on police officers.
I am going to say it publicly…to those threatening police officers and police officer supporters your behavior is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I am glad that I posted the video to show what happened to the retired officer in Staten Island and those who are verbally attacking me and the retired officer, you are doing so because of the guilt of your own actions and from your own mouths, captured on video. I will always keep this video up as a reminder of your attempt to silence the innocent.
Below, I am reposting the video for anyone who has never viewed it and in it you can see the behavior. The retired officer did nothing to provoke the attitude and was viciously attacked simply because he had a visible shield on his shirt. I am being attacked for doing my job and disseminating this information to the public…uncensored. That is what I’m here for…not to cater to those looking to hide. And yes, those on the video did hide as soon as it was told it was coming to the news and you hide behind your cowardly YouTube identities. I am sick and tired of giving people like you airtime, who pretend to be victims, when you are the true instigators.
I am going to share this video as well by one of those in blue, who speaks candidly.
“Police officers are not racist,” the officer in this video below says. “There is not one cop that puts his uniform on in the morning and goes out there saying, ‘I’m going out there to kill a black person, a Spanish person, an Irish person, that s**t just doesn’t fly.”
This officer notes how “Blue Lives Matter,” and many wait for their loved ones and friends from law enforcement to return from calls.
“Blue lives matter as much as black lives matter and everybody else,” the officer said.
This officer had a friend who pulled out Wenjian Liu’s and Rafael Ramos’ bodies from the car after they were slain…and this person will never be the same again…
When will we all support our police departments and wear shirts that say, “Blue Lives Matter?” When is it going to stop that children will be without their parents on Christmas because their parents were police officers whose lives were stolen senselessly by those who murder them simply for what they have chosen as a career?
When is it that Facebook is going to stop pacifying hate sites, whether it be against police officers or any other group (I’ve seen it that animal abusers have hate sites on Facebook against animals…reported it…and Facebook has not done a thing)?
On that note, I am sharing an online protest on Facebook to remove “Kill the Police” Pages. If you’d like to join, click here.
In the meantime, as police keep us safe on their watches, I am going to keep on my watch and will continue to back law enforcement that is being senselessly attacked by haters. Not on my watch, people…take your hate somewhere else…it is not permitted on my news site.
And because I’ve seen very little in the way of that slogan on Google Images…guess what…I’ve created one and it’s the main image for this piece and I hope others do too…
In memory of Wenjin Liu and Rafael Ramos…the could be any of our police officers who protect and serve our communities daily…even though this is in New York City…New York City is one of the largest and most active cities in the world and what happens in New York affects us all nationwide and worldwide.

Please stop dividing and stereotyping people. Those who oppose police brutality don’t “hate the cops”. As a matter of fact, most cops themselves are against police killing and/or shooting unarmed and nonthreatening people. These protests have been mostly peaceful.
I didn’t see you write anything about the two cops in Las Vegas who were shot by the Tea Party couple last summer. And I didn’t see any right-wingers denounce them either. Did I miss something?
Thanks for your comment though I’m not sure where you’re going with it and it doesn’t appear relevant with the post itself. No one is being stereotyped anywhere…it’s against attacks against police officers everywhere…it happens every day. And I have written about another attacker if you follow my site, Eric Frein, when he attacked the State Police Barracks in Pennsylvania, and wrote about this issue three times…see the links below in case you missed them.
