Credit Card Fraud in Franklin
On February 16, 2015 the Franklin Police Department received a report of fraudulent credit card activity taking place within the Borough of Franklin.
The Franklin Borough Police Department – Detective Bureau investigated.
The investigation led to the arrest of Jermaine D. Tucker, 35 years of age, of Jersey City, New Jersey. Detectives alleged that on January 7, 2015 Mr. Tucker, obtained a credit card belonging to victims from Sussex County. He then utilized the credit cards at the Wal-Mart in Franklin and the Wine Country in Franklin. Each time spending an undisclosed amount.
Mr. Tucker was charged with two counts of fraudulent credit card use. He was lodged in the Sussex County Jail in lieu $20,000 bail with no ten percent option.
The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
