Cyber Safety Program for Students and Parents
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – On Wednesday, October 14th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, the Ogdensburg School District invites all Sussex County parents and children (5th – 12th grade) to attend an interactive program to educate students and parents about the legal aspects of cyberbullying. The event will take place at Ogdensburg Elementary School, 100 Main Street, Ogdensburg, NJ 07439. David Fallon, from Homeland Security, will inform parents on cyberbullying with subjects including current lingo, symbols and social media sites that could put children at risk for becoming a victim of cybercrime. Additionally, The Center for Prevention & Counseling of Newton will provide Cyberbullying 101 simultaneously for children that attend with their parents. These two presentations allow for questions and conversations with professionals in the field of Cyber Safety.
