Franklin Police Make Arrest for Multiple Narcotics Distribution Offenses
FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ – Following multiple complaints of narcotics activity in the Borough near and around Green Street the Franklin Borough Police Department conducted an investigation.
Residents complained of what appeared to be multiple narcotics transactions occurring around the area of Green Street.
Following an investigation, Detectives alleged Fred Gall, 28, of Franklin was selling heroin in and around Franklin. Fred Gall was also found to be wanted by Morris County Superior Court for failure to appear in Superior Court on unrelated charges.
On January 11, 2016 at about 10:00 PM– Mr. Gall was arrested for distribution of narcotics related offenses. Mr. Gall attempted to run and hide into a wooded area near Macopin Road in West Milford NJ, prior to surrounding to officers.
Mr. Gall was charged with Distribution of heroin, along with other narcotics offenses. His bail was set at $20,000 with no ten percent option. He was transported to the Sussex County Jail in lieu of bail.
The investigation is ongoing.
The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
