DWI With Minor Passenger in Newton
On 8/26/14 at 9:51p.m., Newton Police responded to the County Seat restaurant to investigate a report of an intoxicated male with a small child who was picking up a take-out order and was believed to have recently driven to the establishment while under the influence.
Patrols responded and a subsequent investigation revealed that the male, identified as Brian Millerick, age 50, of Main Street, Newton was intoxicated and as a result was arrested for the following offenses:
N.J.S. 39:4-50 Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence
N.J.S. 39:4-50.15 Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence With a Minor As A Passenger (Disorderly Persons Offense).
The minor child was released to another family member.
Case pending a 9/16/14 appearance in Newton Municipal Court.
