Traffic Alert in Newton due to Annual Holiday Parade

Newton NJ – Motorists can expect traffic detours and delays in the Spring Street area of Newton on Saturday, November 30, 2013 between 9:45a.m. and 12:00p.m. due to the Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce annual holiday parade.

Traffic will be restricted from streets surrounding the business district during the parade.  Participants and parade watchers are urged to reach their destination by 9:30a.m. to avoid being inconvenienced by the detour.  All municipal parking lots will be available for free parking, but parking will be prohibited on Spring and Moran Streets after 6:00a.m. on Saturday until the parade has finished.

The parade route will start on Lower Spring Street to west on Spring Street., turning right onto Moran Street to terminus in Memory Park.
