Heavy Snow Predicted for Wednesday Nov. 26

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the Sussex County area per the National Weather Service for potentially heavy snow on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

A Winter Storm Watch signifies the potential of heavy snow, sleet or icy precipitation.

An accumulation of four to eight inches of snow is expected for Northwest New Jersey and the Pocono area of Pennsylvania. The inclement weather is expected to begin around dawn, become heavy throughout the day and then taper off with flurries by midnight. Temperatures are expected to hover in the lower 30s.

According to the Winter Storm Watch details on Weather Underground, those with holiday travel plans are recommended to finish their travel by mid-morning on Wednesday.
