Description: Collecting is allowed on the Mine Run Dump and in the Passaic Pit and the saddle area. This event is open to the public. Wear study footwear, a strong hammer, (carpenter claw hammers are not allowed), and eye protection. A dark room with short wave ultra-vilolet light is provided. Fee: $5.00 admission and $1.50 per pound of mineral taken. Fee does not include the mine tour.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 7:00 year old for Mine Run dump and 13 and up elsewhere.

The heritage festival celebrates the Nordic regions: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden. Food, crafts, authentic gifts, entertainment, dancing, folkdress, vikings, kids’ events, and renactors. This year’s featured guests are Telge Glima, Swedish wrestlers who practice and show old sports and games.
