Newton Annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest
Newton, NJ. October 25 Chills, thrills and lots of fun as you join in the fun with ghosts, ghouls and goblins in the annual Newton Halloween Parade and Costume Contest.
The festivities will begin at 5:30pm on Thursday October 31, 2013 at Parking lot #5 (Union Place across from the Newton Theater). People of all ages are encouraged to dress up and come out to celebrate Halloween with us. The Parade will start promptly at 6pm and walk along Spring Street, turning onto Moran and then onto Trinity where it will conclude in Parking Lot #4 (Trinity Street across from the Municipal Building). There will be a stage set up with judges to give away candy and prizes to the top three costumes within different age groups.
For over 25 years the Newton Fire Department and The Moose Lodge 432 of Newton have come together to create this wonderful event. Year after year it leaves families and community members with a great sense of pride in Newton. This event continues to bring out more people every year to celebrate Halloween and kick off an evening of trick or treating.
