Harassment, Disorderly Conduct and Playing Music that Exceeds the Residential Property Line
On 10-14-13, the Byram Twp. Police Department responded to a noise complaint on Glen Cove Road. When the officer arrived, he spoke to Edward K. Sperling and several of his family members who were outside their residence. After speaking to them the individuals agreed to go inside the residence. The officer then cleared from the area. A short while later, the officer was called back to the same area for a report of individuals shouting obscenities from outside in their front yard. The officer responded but found no one outside the Sperling’s residence. At approximately 4:25 am, the officer was again called back to the area for a report of a disturbance. Shortly after the officer arrived on Glen Cove Road, he observed Edward K. Sperling place a speaker in front of an open window and Sperling then proceeded to play loud music from the speaker. Sperling was charged with the following pending a mandatory Byram Twp. Municipal Court Date: Harassment, Disorderly Conduct and a local ordinance violation of Excessive Noise Exceeding a Residential Property Line.
