Theft and Assault in Franklin
Franklin Borough, NJ – On August 23, 2014 the Franklin Police received a report of a theft and assault which took place at a residence on Main Street in Franklin Borough.
Franklin Detectives investigated the theft of jewelry described as a jade bracelet, a jade necklace, white zircon stones, red zircon stones, and prescription medication.
On September 3, 2014, during the course of the investigation, Detectives met with Deane Tenzi, 44, of Franklin to speak with him about the theft. When Detectives met with Mr. Tenzi he is alleged to have been in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically heroin, hypodermic needles, and drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Tenzi was also found to have outstanding arrest warrants from Denville and Woodbridge totaling $2,000.00.
Mr. Tenzi was charged with narcotics offenses in Franklin Borough and lodged in the Sussex County Jail in Lieu of $11,500 bail with no ten percent option in addition to the outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions.
On September 17, 2014 Officers made contact with Elizabeth A. Dadas, 44, of Stillwater. She was charged with the theft of the jewelry. While she was being taken into custody in Stillwater, New Jersey she was found to be in possession of some of the stolen jewelry.
She was charged with theft and lodged in the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
