Narcotics Arrest in Franklin

On September 22, 2014 at approximately 6:55 AM Officer David Schneider conducted a motor vehicle stop with a vehicle which had several infractions on State Highway 23 near the McDonalds restaurant parking area.

During the motor vehicle stop, Officer Schneider conducted an investigation, and allegedly found Ms. Kristen Depue, 19, of Hamburg and a passenger Nicholas Barrise, 19, of Franklin both in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia.

Ms. Kristen Depue was charged with numerous motor vehicle offenses. Ms. Depue and Mr. Barrise also face charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and use of a controlled dangerous substance.

After Ms. Depue and Mr. Barrise were processed they were released pending a court appearance.

The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
