Narrative:  Byram patrols responded to a complaint by a local resident that he observed three young men going into the woods next to Cove Beach that he considered suspicious. Byram patrol located the individuals in the woods and detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana. A search of the area located close to an ounce of marijuana located in a backpack along with a smoking device and lighter. Justin Faschan and two juvenile Byram residents were arrested and transported back to the police station where they were processed and released with the following charges:

Justin Faschan: Being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance a disorderly persons offense, Possession of drug paraphernalia a disorderly persons offense and distribution of less than an ounce of marijuana a fourth degree crime.

Two 17 year old males: Being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, Possession of drug paraphernalia. Both disorderly persons offenses.

In addition to the above charges trespassing complaints were signed by the Forest Lakes Club as none of the three individuals were Forest Lakes residents.
