Possession of Under 50g of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle and Maintenance of Lamps

BYRAM TOWNSHIP – On 12-23-13, a Byram Twp. Police Officer observed a vehicle traveling on Richmond Road with an inoperable brake light. A motor vehicle stop was initiated and while speaking to the driver, Justin J. Deacon of Stanhope, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced a quantity of marijuana. Deacon was arrested and transported to the station for processing. He was charged with the following and released pending a mandatory Byram Twp. Municipal Court date: Possession of Under 50g of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle and Maintenance of Lamps.
