Defiant Trespass, Hunting Without a License, Trespassing for the Purpose of Hunting, Failure to Exhibit Documents, Failure to Change Address
On 10-17-13, the Byram Twp. Police Department received a call from a Hudson Farm employee who stated he caught an individual trying to hunt on the private property of Hudson Farm. When the officer arrived, he spoke to the accused, Patrick J. Lacosta of Randolph, NJ who stated that he did not have a hunting license and that he saw the posted signs advising that he was on private property. Lacosta was charged with Defiant Trespass and the motor vehicle violations of Failure to Exhibit Documents and Failure to Change Address. He was released pending a mandatory Byram Twp. Municipal Court Date. Lacosta was also charged with Trespassing for the Purpose of Hunting and Hunting Without a License by an officer from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Fish and Wildlife, Bureau of Law Enforcement who assisted with the investigation. Those charges will also be heard in Byram Twp. Municipal Court.
