DWI and Narcotics Arrest in Franklin
FRANKLIN, NJ – On February 4, 2015, Franklin Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 23 at about 8:00 PM.
During the motor vehicle stop, Officer Grissom observed the driver to show signs of impairment along with suspicious behavior.
Following an investigation Officer Grissom found the driver, Kristen Depue, 20, of Hardyston, allegedly under the influence of a narcotic and she was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. A search of the vehicle yielded an undisclosed amount of cocaine, hydrocodone, and marijuana.
Also arrested was the passenger Andre Febus, 24, of Stockholm for possession of cocaine and marijuana.
Both were charged with numerous narcotics violations, and hindering their apprehension specifically by way of concealing narcotics and failing to surrendering them to law enforcement authorities.
Both were released pending court appearances in Superior Court.
The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
