ANY OTHER INFORMATION: An anonymous caller reported a possible drunk driver. The caller stated that the vehicle was swerving down Holiday Drive. The vehicle then went into the wrong lane as it turned from Holiday Drive into the Liquor Factory parking lot. Officer Barta arrived and saw a vehicle that matched the description. He saw a woman walk out of the liquor factory and get into the described car. She left going back up Holiday Drive. Officer Barta observed her swerving as she drove. He stopped her on Holiday drive. He gave her Field Sobriety Tests but she couldn’t complete them. She was arrested, taken to headquarters and given the Alcotest. She blew almost three times the limit. She was charged and later released to a friend.
This was at 5:29pm. Drunk Drivers are not just out at 2:00 am. We removed a drunk driver from our roads because a person called us. You are the eyes and ears for your Police Department. Thank you to the caller. You may have saved someone’s life.
