DWI/Careless Driving/Leaving the Scene in Hopatcong

CHARGES AGAINST THE ACCUSED: DWI, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Report an Accident
ANY OTHER INFORMATION: Officer Barta, Schultz and Janosko responded to the area of Hopatchung Road by Rite Aid for a vehicle that crashed. When they arrived they found that a pick up truck had crashed into a telephone pole. No one was in nor around the vehicle. Two officers searched the area and found Kerr on Bell Ave walking with a female. Kerr broke two teeth and was bleeding from his mouth. The female was a passenger in the vehicle and was trying to get Kerr to go back to the scene. She was not injured. She said they turned onto Hopatchung from Durban Ave. Kerr then crashed into the pole. Kerr stated he got scared and ran from the accident. The officers found both full and empty beer cans in the bed of the truck. Kerr stated he had two beers. Due to his injuries he was taken to Dover St. Clares Hospital. Blood was drawn by the hospital staff for the DWI charge.
