Burglary and Narcotics Arrest in Franklin
On November 19, 2014 the Franklin Borough Police Department investigated a reported burglary on Davis Road.
Upon arrival officers were met with the resident who reported jewelry, currency, and other merchandise was taken from her home.
Following an investigation by the Franklin Borough Police Detective Bureau, Nicholas Blaze Barrise, 19, formerly of Franklin now of Hamburg is alleged to have entered a residence on Davis Road without the home owner’s consent and or knowledge. He is further alleged to then remove merchandise, jewelry, and currency.
Mr. Barrise was arrested in Franklin on 12/16/2014 at approximately 2:15PM. At that time he was allegedly found to be in possession of several packets of heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Barisse was charged with burglary, theft, possession of heroin and marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and use of a controlled dangerous substance. Bail was set at $43,000.00 with no ten percent option. He was lodged in the Sussex County Jail in lieu of bail.
The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
