Possession of Cocaine, Heroin, Hypodermic Syringe and Drug Paraphernalia

On 8-14-14, the Byram Twp. Police Department received information from the Saddle Brook Police Department that Timothy Bahnsen of Byram Twp. was wanted for a shoplifting incident that occurred in Saddle Brook. A short while later, a Byram Twp. Police Officer observed the vehicle that Bahnsen was driving on Rt. 206 N. and initiated a motor vehicle stop with the vehicle on Pierson Dr. Bahnsen was taken into custody on the Saddle Brook charges and transported to the station for processing. At the station, Bahnson was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin, a hypodermic syringe and a glass smoking device with suspected cocaine residue on it. Bahnsen had hidden these items in his anal cavity prior to being taken into custody. Bahnsen was charged with the following and released pending a mandatory Sussex County Superior Court date: Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bahnsen was also charged with Shoplifting by Saddle Brook Police Dept.
