Hopatcong Borough: Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance

 Officer Mancuso was by the dog pound when he heard a vehicle spinning its tires on Brown trail by his location. Berti’s vehicle then pulled out spinning his tires onto Durban ave.  Officer Mancuso stopped this vehicle on Brooklyn Mtn Road.  He could smell the strong odor of burnt marijuana from withing Berti’s vehicle.  In the glove box Officer Mancuso saw a baggie.  When he went on the other side of the car he could see it contained marijuana.  Berti also had a glass smoking pipe in the vehicle with marijuana residue along side E-Z wider rolling papers.  He had another glass smoking pipe in his pocket along with Zig Zag rolling papers.  Berti was arrested taken to headquarters charged and later released.  He is facing up to two years loss of license for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substance) in the vehicle.
