Branchville Man Obtained Controlled Dangerous Substance by Fraud
On Monday October 14, 2013 the Franklin Borough Police Department continued an ongoing investigation of a complaint of a male obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of, Jonathan Byrnes, 25, of Branchville NJ for obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud and two counts of obtaining a prescription legend drug by fraud. Mr. Byrnes is alleged to have attempted to obtain additional doses of Adderall for personal consumption and re-sale from a doctor’s office in Franklin Borough. He was also found to do the same with Xanax. The name of the Doctors office will not be released at this time as the investigation is still pending.
Mr. Byrnes was charged with obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud and two counts of obtaining a prescription legend drug by fraud. Bail was set at $10,000 with no ten percent option. He was lodged in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
The investigation is pending and additional charges are possible.
