ANY OTHER INFORMATION: A resident saw two males walking from the back of a vacant home that is for sale. That resident contacted the police. The officers searched the area and found Johnson and a juvenile male that matched the description the neighbor gave. After a brief investigation the officers brought the males back to the vacant home. It was found that they entered through an unlocked sliding glass door in the rear of the home. They took a fire extinguisher and shot it all over the inside of the home. They took the fire extinguisher and threw it into the woods near the home which was recovered. Both were brought back the Hopatcong Police Department. They were processed and charged. The juvenile’s parent arrived and took custody of him. Johnson was later released.
Thank You to the neighbor who was the eyes and ears for their Police Department. There may be only a few officers on duty at any given time but when a community is watching and calling in suspicious persons, criminals get caught. (photo is of Johnson. No juvenile information is given out)
