The mainstream media (MSM) has already proven itself untrustworthy through the Wikileaks revelations, showing collusion with Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton in many ways.
Yesterday, President Elect Donald Trump tonguelashed a select handful of media moguls during a meeting at Trump Tower, singling out CNN President Jeff Zucker, an insider leaked to the New York Post.
This source told the Post it was “like a f**king firing squad.”
Trump also commented to Zucker about CNN: “I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed.”
At InsideScene.com, we have covered the media cooperation with establishment candidates on both Republican and Democratic sides beginning in 2015. CNN detractors have now jokingly referred to the outlet as the “Clinton News Network” due to its evident slant towards the former First Lady and Secretary of State, while suppressing and bashing other candidates, including President Elect Donald Trump. CNN was caught in Wikileaks emails in bed with the Democratic National Committee (DNC), including this correspondence. Click here for the original email.
It was a discussion in which CNN Writer/Producer Jason Seher of “The Lead with Jake Tapper” told the DNC “We’re going to stay Dem focused…” and apologized to the DNC representatives, thanking them for “bearing with us through a meelee [sic] of GOP nonsense and cancellations and all that.”
DNC internal correspondence further notes: “Need to know asap if we want to offer Jake Tapper questions to ask us.”
Journalism 101 – Tapper should be formulating his own questions, not being fed by the candidates. Overall, CNN should not be showing a “focus” on either camp, or referring to either camp’s actions as “nonsense.”
Martha Raddatz is another one that Trump singled out, though he did not mention her by name, according to the source, noting Raddatz’s conduct during the debates, and Raddatz’s breakdown in tears when Trump won.
Fox News Co-President Bill Shine, Gayle King, George Stephanopoulos and others were present. Though Katy Tur was not, Trump referred to an NBC correspondent who “got it wrong.” King reportedly was one who asked Trump how the media may work best with him.
The Daily Mail chronicled the list of invited media members.
Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s spokeswoman, was the event organizer, who told the Post the “gathering went well.”
