Sometimes, the best person to tell the truth about the story is an “outside” set of eyes, who has a bird’s eye view of the entire picture.
Such is the case of Dinesh D’Souza and his film “Hillary’s America The Secret History of the Democratic Party.”
D’Souza is a naturalized American from India who is a truth seeker. Among his accolades is he is a speaker, filmmaker and New York Times best-selling author, which is why I state that D’Souza has an advantage over some others in his evaluation of the truth and his objectivity since he is originally not from this country.
One of D’Souza’s previous films was “2016: Obama’s America,” in which he ended up in hot water with the Obama administration for his revelations. Not only did D’Souza recount Obama’s childhood in Indonesia, comparing it to his own childhood in India, but in this film he said he predicted moves for the President’s term between 2012 and 2016.
Surprisingly, D’Souza reportedly modeled some of the structure of his film after Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11,” although D’Souza has been an ardent conservative.
For his outspokenness, D’Souza believes he found himself on trial for campaign contributions on behalf of a friend, which was adjudged a violation of campaign finance laws, though D’Souza’s attorney argued it was “selective prosecution,” or in layman’s terms “prosecution discrimination.”
He is now considered a convicted felon, without a previous criminal record before the campaign finance issues and through it has lost his voice to vote. But, he of course hasn’t lost his right to make movies.
D’Souza was sentenced eight months in a halfway house correctional facility with high offenders in for drug charges, insurance sale scams and even manslaughter. His fellow corrections’ roommates chuckled when they heard what D’Souza was incarcerated for.
“They’re trying to teach me a lesson,” D’Souza surmised to the film audience through his narration.
He was also given mandatory psychiatric evaluations and was ordered to teach English to immigrants.
D’Souza used this time to seek answers to questions and unlocking the keys to the Democratic Party. He queried those he was incarcerated with about their thoughts about politicians. It was then that one of the gentlemen he was locked up with described them as the “biggest gang,” while at the same time lauding members of the Democratic Party as “the party for us.” It was this person who also explained to D’Souza the anatomy of a con and the steps one takes to execute it, from the start to denial to the figurative bait-and-switch approach of glorifying an offer and delivering something different to finally, reinventing the con when the gig is up.
From there, D’Souza explored the answers to the question, “Who are these Democrats?”
Following his release from the pen, D’Souza carefully takes the story through history, chronicling the actions of founding father of the Democratic Party and abusive slave owner Andrew Jackson, the fighting and filibustering between the Republicans (anti-slavery) and Democrats (pro-slavery), the Civil War, the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, the rise of the KKK (the militant arm of the Democratic Party), the lynching movement, keynote speaker to the Women’s KKK Margaret Sanger’s Planned Parenthood eugenics to weed out children in the black community and those of all races considered “feeble minded” (see below a news report about how Sanger infiltrated the black community…Hillary Clinton is also a devotee of Sanger’s), the creation of ghettos for immigrants and minorities including “Plantation Politics,” as well as the discrimination from prominent members of the Democratic Party including Woodrow Wilson (who screened the racist film A Birth of Nation in the White House), FDR’s New Deal politics and Lyndon B. Johnson’s discriminatory process and use of the black community as pawns to forward his own agenda.
One Democrat that D’Souza did not mention during his film was JFK. My thoughts? JFK is the atypical Democrat and was murdered for it, a whole other topic for discussion. Too much shadiness within the Warren Commission investigation and suddenly Lyndon B. Johnson, a Texan, is taking his oath for President as First Lady Jackie Kennedy stands by in her famous pink suit now bloodstained, following her husband’s murder in Dallas. Over the last two years it’s been my belief that LBJ was involved in the assassination plot against President John F. Kennedy, evidence that I have weighed and continue to evaluate as an investigative journalist.
To me, JFK represents everything that D’Souza expresses in his film that Obama has challenged. JFK supported Israel, Obama does not. Obama supports communist and socialist ideals and subscribes to the likes of known thief and mob supporter Saul Alinsky. JFK and his brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy (of course also later assassinated) also challenged the mob. And of course JFK held a disdain for the politics of Cuba and Obama recently has reopened relations with the country. JFK supported the minutemen mentality and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). Of course, Barack Obama is against the Second Amendment and strives to weaken it while he is pro gun control.
JFK also heavily supported desegregation and he and his brother built a reputation of being color blind, unlike their fellow Democratic counterparts. In fact, their views of the black community as humans, rather than savages that other Democrats have treated them, cost both of them their lives similarly to Republican (previous Whig Party member against Andrew Jackson policies) Abraham Lincoln.
Margaret Sanger, by the way, a darling of the Democrats, also despised JFK simply because he was Catholic, threatening to leave the country if he was elected (a tactic that I find similar to those who are vowing their departure if Donald Trump is elected).
Another person that D’Souza highlights is a woman who “progressive” media history has suppressed, including in her own time, the Republican African-American journalist Ida B. Wells. After seeing this movie I am most grateful among things as a journalist to have become acquainted with this fine woman’s memory, as she was a true champion of African-American rights, having been born to slaves before the emancipation who were all later freed and an activist against the anti-lynching crusade that the Democrats and the KKK led. I can relate to Wells myself as a journalist as well as a teacher (she was fired from teaching for her outspokenness in her writings). This beautiful and intelligent woman is how all journalists should strive to be – truth-seekers with sensitive hearts for all humans who are outspoken for the cause that all human lives count, while exposing the propaganda. This courageous woman stormed into President Woodrow Wilson’s office herself, challenging his practices of discrimination. Before Rosa Parks, Wells also fought the system of discrimination, in 1884 by buying a first-class train ticket and later being kicked off the train because of the color of her skin. This is what sparked her career in journalism and a lawsuit against the railroad company for refusing to seat her. Every person needs to learn more about the life of Ida B. Wells as she was a champion for all of America and her efforts to help integrate all Americans, including women and African-Americans.
It is unfortunate this unsung heroine wasn’t one of the choices to be featured on the flip side of the new $5 or $10 bill, while several prominent ladies will be. Andrew Jackson’s face on the front is now being replaced with Harriet Tubman, which must have the slave abusing Democratic seventh President rolling in his grave.
D’Souza chronicles in his studies of con artistry, the cons that Saul Alinsky birthed and taught to others as a “community organizer” a position that Barack Obama eventually became and taught Alinsky’s ways. In fact, Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama are both students of Alinsky’s. Click here for a transcript of Alinsky’s famous Playboy interview.
But Alinsky’s closest protégée was a young woman by the name of Hillary Rodham. Rodham, then a student at Wellesley College wrote her thesis about Alinsky’s works and invited him to Wellesley as a guest speaker.
Hillary Rodham and Saul Alinsky had a letter writing relationship especially when she lived in Berkeley, Calif as a law intern. These letters reveal such a personal relationship between the two that Alinsky’s secretary took the task upon herself and opened Rodham’s letter to him and answered it on his behalf while Alinsky was out of town. Rodham herself professed to being a community organizer and admiring Alinsky’s efforts. It is the author’s suspicion that Rodham’s and Alinsky’s relationship may have been very personal to the point of being sexual, based on her discipleship of him, which borders based on her adoration, in a creepy Manson-esque following kind of way, salivating over a man who advocates criminality. Others have suggested similarly online.
Unlike the Obamas, Rodham, now known as Hillary Rodham Clinton, D’Souza says, outsmarted her professor Alinsky. She told him that the way to take over a government is to push it from the inside.
And that is what the Clintons, including her “pitchman” Bill Clinton has done and they are a breed of Democrats who have now switched the narrative, denying the Democrat heritage of hate and racism, claiming to be the carriers of the cause of freedom for women, African-Americans and those of other ethnic backgrounds. I find it very typical of Democrats actually when they are confronted with the ugly truth of their party’s legacy through the 20th Century and continuing today, to deny the connection to the past and present. They make every excuse in the book if anyone challenges them and eventually turns the conversation on their dissenter, resorting to name calling and attacks. No matter what the scam is they are told to deny their part and deny any wrongdoing, from Whitewater to Bill Clinton’s sexual deviancies (blaming the victims, as Hillary Clinton also did early in her law career representing a person who raped a 12-year-old) to denying her email fraud to the deaths of those in Benghazi.
Charity fraud is another con of the Clintons, using the Clinton Foundation to tug at the heartstrings of generous souls and then not delivering monies as promised. D’Souza points out a glaring example of this with the Clintons using the tragedy in Haiti to take in donations, which only 10 percent were given in direct support of Haitians. Haitians consistently protest the Clintons’ money laundering charity scam, but because the Clintons “push from the inside” they get away with it. This reminds this reviewer of when scam artists formed charities to “help” victims of Hurricane Sandy but committed charity fraud instead. Many other charity fraudsters have been charged but the Clintons continue to evade prosecution.
Plus, the Clintons have not declared foreign donations on their tax forms, donations received from countries that hate the United States, even while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. And, she facilitated one transaction that landed a fat check into Clinton Foundation coffers from some friends of hers in Canada and they provided uranium to Russia. It’s no wonder Hillary’s email servers have been scrubbed.
This film is a must-watch, especially not only on heels of the Democratic National Convention, but additionally its most recent scandal through the exposure of Wikileaks emails that the system was rigged in Hillary Clinton’s favor to hand the nomination over to her and knock out the potential of Bernie Sanders as a nominee.
While a documentary this film is told in a digestible way that one learns the history of America that many of us were deprived of in childhood because it was whitewashed with rhetoric. It is eloquently and colorfully told through D’Souza’s own story, fair use news footage, expert interviews, historical re-creations and more. And by the way, as a journalist, I fact checked plenty before giving this review.
There were many times I was brought to tears during this screening, learning of the true plight of the African-Americans of this nation, who have been used as pawns over the years in party politics. Plus how the American Indians were also mistreated during Democratic Father Andrew Jackson’s “Trail of Tears” drive, and today are still deprived by many opportunities and are suppressed on reservations.
While I disagree with some of D’Souza’s evidently complete devotion to the Republican Party as there are some darlings within this organization too who have evidenced this themselves as upset that Donald Trump is the nominee (including Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio) and doing what they can to stop him (as well as the rumor that George Bush is endorsing Hillary Clinton), I do agree with him that the Republicans have been demonized overall by the Democratic Party since the 1800s, when it was the Republican Party who has fought against racism, were filibustered for attempting to forward anti-slavery and civil rights legislation, and more. But through the Democratic “bait and switch” tactic, the agenda has been flipped and it’s the Democrats who brainwash their students to now call Republicans “racist,” while Republicans support the Constitution and many who follow the Democratic Party now have elements of socialism and communism, traits that JFK abhorred. There is no way that people who don’t support our Constitution and step on our flag can even call themselves “American.”
The cinematography, musical score and patriotic elements are also top notch and round out the entire film.
“Watch Hillary’s America and The Secret History of the Democratic Party” today and you’ll also be asking D’Souza’s question, “What are these Democrats hiding?” and “Who will stop them now?” It’s important especially in this election year to learn as much as possible about our history and current events, to be the wave of change for the future of this nation, as well as to gain a true account of U.S. History.
